I was visiting Sedona and met some wonderful people who were soon to become good friends. They have a beautiful retreat center at the base of Cathedral Rock, one on the most amazing and powerful vortex energy centers in Sedona. I was there for an 11/11 peace prayer in honor of the 9/11 tragedy victims. They called their center Michael's Vision.
I was to be there for three hours, but ended up staying for three weeks. I was so very drawn and inspired by this magical place that I worked out a trade to stay on their land in a Tipi for a print of what was to become this painting of Archangel Michael's Vision. It was an amazing experience that I will treasure always. It was my first visit to this Sacred land and to meet with such a beautiful Spirit family was a Divine Blessing.
Angels had never been anything that I'd put much attention upon due to my programming in this modern culture we live today. To me it was like the concept of fairies , I loved the idea of their existence, I spoke with them all the time, but I didn't really believe that they were actually real! I had Spirit work through me on many occasions before this and I now know beyond a doubt that fairies are real, so why not angels. I knew I only needed to ask. And so I did.
I was inspired to use yellow, a color I rarely use much of, only to discover later yellow is the color that represents personal power and some say it is the Soul color. Blue is the highest order of Divine Wisdom and integrity; here I painted it as the cosmos. He holds his sword of light, a flame to burn through the illusion of darkness. In his shield I used frankincense, an incense that is of the highest vibration of any essential plant essence. This is here to add a powerful vibration of higher Divine energy that he uses to protect us when we call on him. His sword sheds no blood but shines light on the darkness to lead us out of the lower world illusions that bind us.
“Archangel Michael’s Vision”
At first I thought he was finished, so I had him photographed, reproduced, and the Giclee' print delivered to Michael's Vision. The original had been hanging at the Agape International Church in Los Angeles for several months. I had gotten lots of feedback on the amazing energy coming from this painting. I had several people interested in purchasing it, but he was not meant to go until he was truly completed. I felt his Spirit was calling me to add more into the painting.
Eventually, I brought him back to my studio and spent some time in meditation with him. Images began to appear that I hadn't seen before. There was an eagle emanating through the light of his sword. This is the bird that is the closest to Creator through it's ability to fly high into the heavens and to keep a sharp eye upon the folly of life on Earth.
The shape of a dove emerged at the foot of his robe to signify the peace that he brings to those in need. The winged Pegasus splashing in the waves of consciousness showed up to lift humankind into the higher levels of awareness. I also found a cosmic stairway that leads us on our ever upward Heavenly climb, which is surrounded by the Holy Fire of transformation.
I discovered what I was hearing and feeling was indeed true, Michael's Vision was not complete at the time of his first incarnation. He had to evolve into something with more depth and meaning. I am eternally grateful when I listen to the small, still voice of guidance inside me that leads me to discover the mystic's magic of Spiritual awareness.
